About Us

Instructor Bio

Erika has been playing the violin for over 20 years. In 2018, she completed a Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance, and she went on to complete a Master's Degree in 2020. She has taught violin lessons for over five years.

Teaching Method

We recommend the Suzuki Violin Method as the most effective way to learn violin. Students will first develop listening and musicianship skills, and will then learn to read sheet music. Consistent listening and practice is required for the best result.

Philosophy

At Fort Garry Violin Studio, we strive to create a welcoming environment that caters to each student's individual needs and goals. We recognize that every child and adult has an innate musical ability which can be developed and refined with practice and dedication.
